Ever looked in front of the mirror and thought mehh? Gone to the club and felt that everyone around you looks amazing and you don’t? Went to that job interview and felt like you weren’t good enough? Yes, we’ve all been there and it sucks, right? Recently I’ve been feeling a little mehh myself like I’m taking 1 step forward and two steps back. With lots coming up, parties, events and exciting work I knew it was time to snap out of it. But where do you begin? I’ve got some quick, handy tips for an immediate boost when you end up stuck that’s tried and tested by yours truly!

GET OUT OF BED, AND SHOWER

It sounds simple, but getting yourself out of bed and having a shower literally makes me feel so much more ready for the day. When you’re all down in the dumps, staying in bed and feeling sorry for yourself is the worst thing you can do… so get out the house! Get up and wake yourself up with a cold shower (oh, and wash your hair!). You feel revitalised, rejuvenated and instantly a touch more positive.

 

PICK A NICE OUTFIT

When you look good, you feel good… so pick out one of your favourite outfits ready for the day. I always throw on some nice jeans, one of my favourite t-shirts and some nice shoes before I leave the house. SPEAKING OF LOOKING GOOD…

Pamper yourself! There’s nothing better than getting a nice clean, fresh haircut, giving yourself a good old body trim, cutting your nails, face mask… you know the drill, a full body pampering. Ladies, get your brows and nails done. Treat yourself to a little YOU time. If you’re into tan, grab a bottle and give your body healthy glow. Your appearance is a huge factor of increasing your self-esteem so a little TLC goes a long way. Now time to get ready. Use your best makeup, make that extra bit of effort doing your hair. It’s all about looking good and feeling good!

 

RETAIL THERAPY + FRIENDS = 😁

I don’t know about you, but when I’m feeling a little down a good dose of retail therapy fixes me right up. Call your mate and head to your nearest city centre to do some good old shopping. Grab a cocktail while you’re there, catch up over lunch and treat yourself to those shoes you’ve been after. There’s nothing better than spending time with friends over good food and drinks. Hearing about what’s happening in other peoples lives really takes your mind off your old problem.
