Being a fashion and lifestyle blogger, I get exposed to a lot (I mean a lot!) of pretty incredible brands, ones that really need shouting about and sometimes I don’t get the opportunity to do this. I love reading about how certain companies have formed and the roots of their success, so today I’m introducing a whole new section on The G Edit called Under The Spotlight.
Under The Spotlight is a mini-series exposing my incredible new discoveries, from singular products to inspiring businesses. I really hope you enjoy reading about why certain brands have caught my eye.
BASUS is a French urban/contemporary brand that screams modern fashion. I’m all about minimalistic clothing with a unique edge so this collection of clothing is right up my street. Details are everything, and you’re sure to find that with BASUS. I’ve had a browse through their latest collection and I’m loving some of the styles and designs. One of my favorite products from the range is their ZEBRA CAP. What made this stand out to me was the unique pattern made from cork leather and denim. I feel like this product really is an essential statement piece to an outfit. Although I love the minimalistic feel to my wardrobe, I tend to always try and wear some kind of statement accessories such as shoes or jewelry. This hat would be perfect for this. I’m also loving this Black Overshirt. Overshirts are really on trend at the moment and perfect for the coming season, especially when you want to complete your outfit with another layer but you want to remain cool.

My love for skincare continues as I explore new treatment specially designed for men. GOA is a professional skincare brand inspired by traditional Indian body rituals and skincare solutions. The brand has also been featured in huge publications such as InStyle and MensHealth, as a result of their top performing skin essentials. Their products are renowned for anti-aging properties and result driven formulas. One that really caught my eye was their Undereye Anti-fatigue Serum. It’s designed to brighten, de-puff and reduce the appearance of crows feet around the eyes. The formula helps the skin become more resistant to stress, activating anti-aging defenses keeping skin healthy and plump. This is definitely something for a workaholic like me!

Back to fashion, my last spotlight brand this month is Merrill+Forbes, a New York City-based clothing brand specialising in contemporary fashion. I’m in love with the Saddler Black Bomber Jacket, an essential piece for this time of the year. It has a minimal yet quirky design, perfect for an all black outfit or maybe paired with some statement shoes. The photography and website design really stuck me when exploring M+F. I love their modern styling and photography, as you can see exactly where the inspiration came from, really sticking to their roots. Their Instagram is pretty sick too, from campaign imagery to behind the scenes snapshots. Brands with full transparency really appeal to me as I love to see what’s happening behind the camera and website.
