Starting Spring With The Body Shop.

2017 in one word. Hectic. Bloody hectic to say the least. I can happily say that 2017 has gone off to a busy start which means keeping up with day to day life has been pretty hard!

I thought it would be nice to dive back into my passion of skin/body care, introducing you all to some amazing new arrivals from The Body Shop. Having a fast paced lifestyle is quite draining on your body, so these products are the perfect selection to keep your skin fresh, rejuvenated and healthy.

During this time of year I tend to stick to certain skincare staples, ones that I can trust and know will do the job. I also need things that are easy to take away on trips as I travel a lot with work, something that will do everything in one meaning I don’t have to take a bag full of products. Makes sense right? Before I start I’d like to say a huge thank you to the generous ladies at The Body Shop Metro Centre for introducing me to these incredible products. You guys rock!

Personalised Body Butter Stickers

So where should I begin? Well if you don’t know already, certain stores across the country now have the ability to give you your own personal body butter stickers! It’s a funky machine that came about last Christmas, where you can select a design and customise with your own text! You can see in the picture above that for Valentine’s Day, I customised this cool design with my name. This idea is perfect if you’re buying for a gift or even just for yourself. Pop into your local Body Shop to see which store offers this service near you.

New Perfume

Yes, new perfume! And not just one… 5 new scents. This beautiful new fragrance range has 5 unique scents that are each so different, yet totally addictive. They smell really up-market, luxurious and bold. My favourite out of the collection was the Bowhanti Eau De Parfum, I’ve been wearing it all February and it’s definitely one of those “ooo you smell nice” fragrances.. Let’s see what the professionals have to say about it:

A spicy woody fragrance, Bowhanti from the Wacapou tree is recreated and combined with a smoky blend of patchouli and incense for mysterious seduction. It instantly transports you to the French Guianan tropical rainforest, with all of its hot and steamy ambrosial and enveloping aromas.

Sounds good, right?

Liquid Peel

Something that really came to my attention. Whilst I visited The Body Shop, I had the pleasure to try the Vitamin C Glow Revealing Liquid Peel. I know this one will be a top seller this Spring! Basically, this effective formula is designed to target pollutants on the skin, removing any dead cells, dirt and grime built up through the day – but the best thing is… you can actually see it coming off. The grime rubs off instantly leaving you with a natural, healthy glow – it’s weirdly disgusting yet satisfying at the same time. You simply dispense 2-3 pumps into your hand and massage into the skin for around 20 seconds. You can immediately see it getting to work and honestly, my skin looks SO good afterwards. This is perfect for my long days at work in a stuffy office! This peel is available in 3 of the skincare collections, Drops of Light, Vitamin C and Drops of Youth – depending on your skincare needs.

Vitamin C Eye Treatment

Whilst we’re on the Vitamin C topic, I’ve been using the Vitamin C Eye Reviver Duo for around 2 weeks now. I’ve been suffering with dark circles and tired eyes lately so this has been an interesting one to try. The application is in two steps, one for the upper eye and one for the lower. There is a cooling gel for the upper eye that is applied using the built in roller ball, so convenient and easy. Secondly there is a cream textured solution that’s applied with the applicator in the lid which is put under the eye. My eyes look a lot brighter and the skin tone more even. Definitely something I will continue to use as I really want to see the long term results of this product.

Almond Milk & Honey Body Care

Finally a new range for the body. The skin on my face is really tolerant to trying new products, but my body isn’t quite the same. My skin can react bad to new products so I’m always weary to try new things (which is sad for a skincare/body care blogger). However, The Body Shop are now introducing the Almond Milk & Honey Range, designed for sensitive skin. On first impressions, this new range has a beautiful scent to it, so subtle and gentle. I managed to get my hands on two of the products, the Soothing Body Butter and Soothing Shower Cream. The formula is designed to ‘respect your skins natural PH levels’, made with organic almond milk and community fair trade honey. The fragrance is hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested. Perfect for someone like me! View more of the range here.

So what do you guys think?  I’m so glad to be starting the year off with such amazing products that are helping my skin look and feel great as I’m working my socks off. Make sure you head to The Body Shop Metro Centre in Gateshead to get your own personalised body butter label and try these awesome new products.

Ciao for now x
