Guys… it’s Christmas Eve! Can you believe it’s that time of year already. Christmas Eve is the day that marks the time to relax for me. I always aim to have my presents bought, wrapped, cards sent, work done ready for this day – so then I can snuggle up by the TV, spend time with friends/family and enjoy the season.
I don’t know about you, but December has been one hell of a busy month. I literally haven’t stopped over the past four weeks and it feels so good to finally chill with no agenda. My only agenda is to celebrate, drink a bottle of Prosecco and spend time with some amazing friends and family. This Christmas Eve I am spending my day watching Christmas movies and then the evening at a local pub with some of my favourite people. But since it’s Christmas Day tomorrow, it will be an early night for me and there is some preparation that must be done.
When I get home this evening, the first thing I will do is go to the kitchen and make myself a nice warm up of tea. There’s nothing better than a cuppa before bed, it makes me fall asleep easier and tends to warm me up knowing I’ll be getting into a chilly bed. Next I’ll light a candle. My Christmas go to candle is the Jo Malone London Pomegranate Noir. This is such a warm festive scent that I’m sure so many people know how amazing it is. I also have the room spray of this scent so I’ll spray a few pumps of this into the air too. My room is officially smelling amazing.
I’ll then head to the bathroom and start my skincare routine, removing all the dirt and grime from throughout the day, I’ll be doing an updated skincare routine early January so watch this space!
Once I’ve finished in the bathroom, to wind me down ready to fall asleep I’ll spray the amazing Limited Edition Tropic So Sleepy Pillow Mist onto my pillows. It contains rosewood, lavender and vanilla which is literally the perfect combination to send you off into a lovely deep sleep and believe me, this stuff actually works. The spray also comes with a Wrist Roll On, I tend to put this on earlier in the evening to start my evening prep.
I then put my phone on the side and grab my current read. Lately I’ve been reading I’m With The Brand by Rob Walker. I love a good Marketing Book, they really inspire me and keep me aspirational in my career. Once I’ve finished I will turn off my light and head to bed, ready for the big day tomorrow.
I hope you all have an amazing Christmas Eve! What do you do this time of year to wind down ready for Christmas Day?
