The Body Shop, Christmas 2016.

Jungle Bells, Jungle Bells… Yes I did say Jungle, because this year’s Christmas 2016 is extremely wild! Literally. Grab yourself a cuppa tea, Custard Cream and put your feet up and let me tell you all about it.

I’m way too Christmassy for mid November. It’s normally at the beginning of December, when I finally write the date 01/12 that the Christmas buzz gets to me, but this year it’s came super early. I put full blame on this years Christmas collections because for some reason the shops are filled with products better than ever, all with a different twist on the season.

The Body Shop Metro Centre in North East England, invited me on my annual visit to check out their range of Christmas goodies for 2016, and boy was I blown away.

This years theme is all thing’s Jungle. Strange I know, but wait.. there’s a story behind it. If you remember back in Summer, The Body Shop hosted an incredible campaign called Bio Bridge. This is an aim to raise £200,000 split between three countries to help sustain and rebuild our rainforests, protecting animals and their surroundings. They have managed to date, to secure 11,262,651 square meters of rainforest, but they aren’t stopping there. Their aim is to reach 14 million with the help from you over Christmas. 4p from every Christmas gift is donated to the cause to help protect these rainforests.

So what Christmas gifts are you talking about Gianni?

Well let me tell you…

This year there is a something special that makes your Christmas gifts stand out that little bit more. The Body Shop Body Butters are one of the most loved products that customers go back annually to purchase for their loved ones, I can tell you now The Body Shop have done something incredible to make it that little bit more special. The Metro Centre store has this cool machine where you can fully customise the lid of your body butter. How cool is that! Oh, and it’s totally FREE! Only 4 stores in the country are able to do this so it’s pretty damn special.

What else is new? The Body Shop also have a gift wrapping station, where you can get one of the team to wrap your gifts just how you like it from as little as £2. This is something that totally stood out to me, especially for those who are last minute Christmas shopping.

One thing everyone likes to know is what Christmas scents are on the shelves. Well this year we see the return of Spiced Apple, along with Vanilla Chai and Frosted Berries. You can definitely find something you like from these three very different scents. My favourite is Vanilla Chai, a slightly spicy vanilla scent that reminds me of a warm night in front of the fire, with a hot drink and blanket. I’ve been using the Body Butter and Shower Gel. The scent is subtle and lasts all day without being overpowering. All these ranges come with a huge variety of products from body shimmers to scented oils, candles to sugar scrubs. Definitely something for everyone.

The Body Shop have made buying gifts even better too, with a HUGE range of pre-boxed and ready to go Christmas Gifts. They have beautiful collection bundles from bath, to body, to skincare. The best thing is, they have gifts ready to go from as little as £5 all the way up to £90, so whatever your budget there will be something for you.

I especially love the Christmas Advent Calendars. These are perfect for your beauty addicts. The one thing I love about The Body Shop Advent Calendars is that every product inside isn’t just a boring sample. The contents is worth almost double what you pay for the calendar, so it’s definitely worth it. These range from £60-£99.

So who’s excited? Get yourself down to The Metro Centre this season as it’s the one-stop-shop for Christmas Shopping! When I visited, I must have bought around 70% of my presents in 2 hours. Very productive if I do say so myself. Make sure you pop into The Body Shop to see this year’s amazing collection. Oh, and if you purchase a Body Butter, don’t forget to ask for it customised!

What’s your favourite thing about Christmas? Let me know!
