Where To Eat In New York.

New York, the city that never sleeps. When a city never sleeps, there has to be a countless locations for dining, socialising and feeding ones appetite.

On my travels to the big apple, eating was close to the top of the agenda. Here are my top places you MUST go to eat in New York City.

Selecting the best place to eat is a fine art, filtering down the endless possibilities by applying the factors of cuisine, budget and location… however with over 9000 restaurants on the map, my top 5 can make your decision a little easier.

Hard Rock Cafe NYC

1501 Broadway, New York, NY 10036, United States

When you arrive a New York, you need a safe bet and somewhere to eat where everyone will enjoy the food. What better choice than the Hard Rock Cafe NYC, bang in the middle of Times Square. Here you’ll experience the true Hard Rock vibe, with delicious American classic food and an awesome atmosphere. I would totally recommend trying their amazing cocktails, they have a huge range to choose from and trust me when I say they aint for the faint hearted. American cocktails are very strong! For food, I had their Classic Margarita pizza which wasn’t so classic after all. When it arrived, it was presented on a rectangular tray – flatbread style, with chopped tomatoes, mozzarella, pesto and garlic mayonnaise. Incredible was the word to describe it, presentation and all.

Fluffy’s Cafe & Pizzeria

370 W 58th St, New York, NY 10019, United States

Of course when visiting the big apple, a traditional American diner has to be on the itinerary. Lucky enough there was one right next door to our hotel called Fluffys Cafe & Pizzeria. This wasn’t a planned visit at all but we were super hungry one morning and due to the large queue at the counter, we thought this place must be good. As we walked through the door, rows and rows of bagels, doughnuts, cakes, sandwiches, pastries and more. It was like walking into breakfast heaven. I decided to go for the egg and cheese bagel. DAMN it was good. My friends went for freshly made omelettes which looked amazing. Word of warning, this food is served on plastic plates so don’t be put off by the true diner style vibe because the food tastes amazing.

E.A.T (Elizabar) Maddison Avenue

1064 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10028, United States

Dragging my friends to an Aesop shop in the middle of Madison Avenue was a big ask, especially when it was miles away from any shops they wanted to visit so an air conditioned pit stop was definitely needed. We stumbled across E.A.T, a famous little diner that doubles up as a deli. This has got to be one of my favourite meals on the holiday. I had a mozzarella and tomato baguette. Simple you think, but absolutely delicious. The honey mustard mayonnaise made the whole thing 10x more special along with their home made potato salad. If you’re looking for the perfect Sex In The City brunch location, this is the place to be. I recommend having a glass of their freshly squeezed orange juice. You can definitely tell it’s fresh on the day with a hint of blood orange in its flavour.

AOA Bar & Grill

35 Ave of the Americas, New York, NY 10013, United States

If you’re looking for Pizza, AOA Bar & Grill is your place to be. Situated in such a lovely neighbourhood, this vibrant and atmospheric bar is the ideal location for a spot of lunch. I decided to go for the Falafel Pizza, something that sounded extremely weird yet delicious. These super big, super thin, super tasty pizzas were a perfect end to the holiday. I recommend getting a glass of their house rose wine in here, it tastes like pure strawberries.

by CHLOE

185 Bleecker St, New York, NY 10012, United States

By Chloe is a restaurant I never actually managed to visit, but so many people including a friend from the States recommended it to me as the best place for Vegan food in New York. Apparently this is the place that is number one for celebs and offer a wide range of both vegetarian and vegan dishes. Definitely on my go to list next time I return to NYC.
