I’m so excited to share todays post with you. It’s been a while since I’ve had a real buzz from a skincare product but today all of that changes.

From as early as I can remember (literally from the age of probably 8 years old), face masks were something I was always a huge fan of. I remember going round my cousins house and being completely amazed at peel off face masks (they are pretty incredible right?), begging her to put one on me every time I went round. Sad I know! From that moment onwards, I remember my Grandma taking me with her to Asda on the weekly Saturday shop and I’d persuade her to buy me one of those one use face mask packets, exploring the whole range trying new ones each week. Peel off, self warming, mud… you name it.

Fast forwarding to the present day, The G Edit has seen so many different types of face masks, from all price ranges, brands, treatment types and more. However, I am so excited to share with you three of my new absolute favourites that I literally can’t get enough of. Hold on tight.

L’Oreal have released three new masks called Pure Clay, all designed to target different skin concerns so let’s waste no more time and get straight into why I love these so much.

The collection is built up from the Purity Mask, Detox Mask and the Glow Mask. You’re probably thinking, which one do I get? Well L’Oreal have you covered. They’ve developed these little strips you put against different areas of your skin that show you exactly which mask is right for you. The best thing is, these masks encourage targeting areas. I’ve used multiple masks at once for years, targeting my combination skin like a boss.

As you can see from the super attractive picture of my face above (oh hey there), I’ve applied the Purity Mask (the green one) around my greasy T zone, to help draw out impurities and clean out those pores. This mask literally shows instant results and your pores are less visible… like straight away.

Next was the Detox mask (the black one). I have a bad habit for resting my chin on my hand when I’m sat at the desk in the office. I can guarantee this is why I get the majority of my blemishes around my chin area so this mask is ideal for giving my chiny chin chin a little TLC. The detox mask uses charcoal and clay to draw out impurities deep within the skin. Charcoal has been used for years to clarify skin and it works a treat. The surface looks smoother and my skin tone evened out.

Finally number 3 and unfortunately my least favourite out of the three. The glow mask (the orange one). To be honest, I didn’t really see any difference with this one. The glow mask is designed to brighten, exfoliate and rejuvenate your skin, but since my skin is pretty ‘glowy’ anyway I couldn’t see much of a difference at all. This doesn’t mean that I don’t like the product, because for someone who needs that extra bit of shimmer to their skin, I can imagine it works a treat if it’s as good as the other two.

In summary, these masks are incredible. Quality vs. Price is a no brainer, and you’re getting a luxe product for a high street price. Did I mention they are super cheap as well? No? Take a look for yourself below. Out of the three, my favourite has to be the Purity mask. Skin feels healthy and you get instant results, what more could you ask for. Did I mention THEY ARE SO CHEAP!
