It’s that time of year where I lay down my holiday essentials from the one, the only… The Body Shop. The Body Shop never fail to surprise me when it comes to new releases. Their skincare gets better, their fragrances get better… everything seems to just get a hell of a lot better!

Over the last year I’ve seen such an improvement in The Body Shop. Their products are of another calibre and I’m seriously impressed with the stuff they are putting on the shelves. You may have noticed the whole revamp of their packing – it looks a lot more consistent throughout the product ranges and has a more high-end vibe to it.

I took a little trip down to The Body Shop Metro Centre and picked up some holiday essentials ready for my NYC trip this week! Here’s my top 5 must have’s for your summer vacation!

Pinita Colada is their brand new summer scent, made from real pineapple and coconut. This stuff literally smells incredible! I was totally sold on this product when the store manager gave me a hand massage using the Pinita Colada Body Scrub and the Body Butter. It smells just like pineapple and coconut, really getting you in the holiday mood! The scent is subtle but lasts all day on your body, not too faint and not too overpowering. For my holiday essentials, I decided to go with the Shower Gel and Miniature Body Butter. Perfect for storing in my suitcase.

NYC is going to have some serious heat this June, so an SPF was an ultimate priority for me. The Body Shop have a brand new product containing SPF 50 PA**** called Skin Defence. This is a super light weight formula, I literally couldn’t believe how absorbing the product actually is considering it has such a high SPF. Skin Defence is designed to protect your skin whilst keeping it hydrated. It defends your skin from UVA rays whilst antioxidants keep your skin nourished and protected from environment pollution. Vitamin C brightens the skin giving you a more luminous complexion. One stop Summer hydration!

For my evening moisturiser I’ve decided to stick with my trusty Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalising  Gel Moisturiser a staple in my evening routine. I can’t get enough of this product, it completely transforms your skin containing essential oils from Egypt, China and Chile. It leaves you feeling fresh ready for bed, with no greasy or sticky texture.

Finally, to maintain that Summer glow I couldn’t leave out the Wild Argan Radiant Oil. This keeps the skin hydrated throughout the day and smells incredible! This is my favourite body shop scent and this product never gets old – it doubles up as an amazing tanning oil too!

OFFER ALEART! The Body Shop currently have a 3 for £20 offer on all bath/body products! This is incredible! We’re talking all shower gels, body butters, body sprays, scrubs… you name it!

The manager at TBS Metro Centre also told me about their latest campaign. The campaign is called Help Reggie Find Love. Let’s hear what The Body Shop have to say –

As part of our commitment to protect and enrich the world we live in, we’re building Bio-Bridges. Bio-Bridges are restored wildlife corridors within damaged landscapes that help endangered species reconnect, enabling them and local communities to thrive.
Over the coming months, participating The Body Shop stores will make a contribution of 1p for every purchase (one customer transaction) made in our stores or websites. Find out when your country is participating below.
Each contribution can enable us to help restore 1 square metre of threatened rainforest in Khe Nuoc Trong, Vietnam.

Their charity work always amazes me and it’s so nice to see a company promote about what they do and how they put back into the world.

To finish of my visit to The Body Shop Metro Centre, they have an in-store photo booth where you can take a picture of yourself ready for Father’s Day, or in aid of the Help Reggie campaign.

I had so much fun visiting the lovely ladies up North! Next time you visit The Body Shop Metro Centre pop in and say hi!
