The Clubmaster.

Clubmaster sunglasses are a timeless accessory and a cult classic in the fashion industry – typically known and made by RayBan. Inspired by 50’s design and aimed for the intellectual, fashion enthusiast.. you can’t fail to look stylish and sleek in these iconic outfit staples.

Although RayBan sunglasses often come with a hefty price tag, they provide a sturdy frame, quality glass and assurance for seamless manufacture and design. But if RayBan isn’t in your budget many brands such as ASOS, Topman, River Island and New Look are making their own affordable variations that give you the same stylish look at almost 1/10th of the price. I picked up some from ASOS to show you the difference and if the price tag really matters!

RayBan Clubmaster Tortoise

Without a doubt you can feel the difference between the RayBan and the ASOS version – if that wasn’t going to be obvious enough anyway! The initial factor that’s noticeable is the weight. The RayBan glasses feel a lot heavier and you can feel the quality in the gear. The glass is also noticeably different. With full UV protection blocking out 85% of visible light and the majority of blue light, you have full assurance that you’re protected when lounging on the beach.

ASOS Clubmaster Black

Although the ASOS sunglasses are the cheap alternative, they don’t nessicssarly feel that cheap in terms of design. The frame and glass obviously feels a lot different to the RayBans but cheap isn’t the word I’d use. They feel strong, sturdy and still make you look super stylish. The glass is UV protected so you’re still protected – hinges are tight and comfort is 10/10. Considering these are £110 cheaper than the RayBans, I’m not complaining – they are an absolute bargain!

If you want any of these beauties, you can pick up the RayBan’s here and the ASOS ones here.
