Morning Skincare Routine Update.

It’s been soooooooo long since I’ve done a skincare routine post and a few thing’s have changed to both my morning and evening routine. Today I thought I’d share my morning routine, updates and new things I’ve been trying. Hold tight!

A few of the products I’m using at the moment haven’t really changed since my last update, but I tend to switch products up on a day to day basis depending on how my skin is – dry, oily, blemishyyou feeling me?

To cleanse, I’ve been sticking with my trusty Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. This favourite of mine really brightens and gives me that wake up feeling on a morning. It’s packed with pumpkin and vitamin enzymes to break down dead skin cells and grime build up from when you were sleeping.  It’s a gel based product that when massaged into the skin turns into an oily balm. I remove this with a soft cloth on a morning, then a muslin cloth on a evening – this gives a mild exfoliation. I give this product 10/10 and I highly recommend anyone to buy this! Amazing stuff.

To tone, I’ve been obsessing over the Pixi Glow Tonic. Now this is an acidic toner/exfoliator and a lot of people are probably thinking ‘You use this on a morning?’ Yepppp! I do. It’s mild enough for my skin to cause no irritation what so ever, and the brightening properties leaves my skin glowing throughout the day. I’m literally onto my 4th bottle of this little beaut – I can’t live without. I really need to dive into the Pixi Skincare range as I’ve heard so much about it. Definitely on the ‘must try’ list.

I don’t tend to double cleanse or double tone on a morning as I like to keep thing’s as simple as possible, let’s face it there’s nothing worse than rushing around on a morning. I jump straight into moisturising, and I’ve been loving the Kiehls Skin Rescuer. This creamy moisturiser hydrates and protects your skin, helping to nourish your cell wall and prevent breakouts. One thing I have to say about this is it’s quite expensive for the amount of product you get in this bottle. I ran out quite quickly on my first bottle, so I’m a lot more careful with the amount I use now.

To finish off, I dab a little bit of the Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment around the bottom of my eyes to remove that ‘I need three more hours sleep’ look I tend to have, and polish off my lips with the Kiehls Mango Lip Balm. My eyes are the only area on my face that’s super sensitive, so I don’t tend to test any eye creams anymore and I stick with my trusty favourite that I know won’t cause any rash or irritation. The mango lip balm gives super hydration that immediately nourishes anyresc chapped or dry lips.

And you’re done! This routine takes no longer than 15 minutes and I’ve really seen a difference in my skin since I’ve put these products into place. I’m at the point now where I’ve developed a good regime and I know what works and what doesn’t. For the record, I have combination skin so these products are super effective for a mixed oily and dry skin.
