Who’s that hunk in the photo above that looks like the staff at LUSH, oh it’s me! Grab yourself a cup of tea, some rich teas and a pillow because I have an exciting run through of products and info for you today! It’s going to be a biggern!
Last week I had the privilege of heading down to my local LUSH store in Middlesbrough with my blogger BAE’s Megan, Danni, Beth, Eleanor and Kate, to experience their Happy Hour Party package. Now I wasn’t familiar with this until the day I arrived, but LUSH can accommodate all kinds of occasions with their amazing party packages, for a fun filled day! Now if you’re a LUSH addict like me and fancy something a little different for your birthday, hen do, baby shower etc… this will be right up your street.
The LUSH party packages are totally customisable to your occasion, and the wonderful staff will make sure it is perfect for you. Now the deal is, it’s £15 per person (4-10 people), which includes the event and also £5 credit in store, as part of the personal shopping experience. Let me tell you what we got up to.
When we entered the store, the lovely ladies took our bags and coats welcomed us in. To warm things up, we played a little ice breaker game where we had to throw to each other one of their shower jellies, and tell the group our name and a random fact about ourselves. Typically I confessed my addiction to Jo Malone to the rest of the group, and that’s where the majority of my money goes! Silly me.
Next we were shown some of the amazing new products up for grab this Mothers Day and Easter. I must say, hand on heart, this is one of the best collections yet for this time of year. I was blown away by the quality and range of bath bombs, bubble bars and shower products. There are a few oldies that have came back this year such as Keep It Fluffy, Fluffy Egg and the Golden Egg Bath Bomb returning for the 3rd year in a row. For new ones, I loved the Humpty Dumpty bath bomb, which is crackable! Just like a real egg! This means you can either put the whole bomb in, or save half for another bath. There’s also a Bouncing Bunny shower jelly (containing Brazilian orange, damnnn) that smells soooooo good! There are also three little carrots that are bubble bars up for grabs this year! You simply run these under hot water (warning: do not underestimate how much bubbles you get from these little things!). And that’s not even listing half of them! There are so many more amazing products on the shelves this Easter.
I’m smelling lots of vanilla with the new collection this year, and they all seem to have a very fresh, sweet scent to them… unlike recent winter releases that were full of spice and musk.
For Mother’s day, you’re looking at the return of the Yummy Mummy shower gel, Ultraviolet Bubble Bar and the Ladybird Bubble Bar. Good old classics, perfect for your Mothers Day gifts.
After looking through the tun of gorgeous products they have this year, it was time for more games. We played a game where we had to put lip stick from the Emotional Brilliance collection on ourselves – blindfolded. I must say I was an absolute pro, considering I’d never put lipstick on anything before.
And many more fun games!
Finally, to end the amazing happy hour party, we had the chance to make our own LUSH product, which you can see in the photo below!
