Happy New Year! To kick off 2016, I thought I would write a little bit about my favourite places to kit out your home with amazing furniture, interior decor and furnishings!

I am in love with Scandinavian decor, and one place that has really amazing furniture for this kind of look is John Lewis. John Lewis have some fantastic collections, ranging from contemporary looks to traditional, fitting all tastes and preferences. They also sell iconic brands such as Alessi, Joseph Joseph and Tempur. Another place for more affordable Swedish inspired, simplistic furniture is IKEA. I love IKEA and it’s especially good for cheap, flat pack furniture for new home buyers.

Moving onto home furnishings, Oliver Bonas is perfect for this. If you’re looking for the perfect iconic furniture staple, or unique decor, this place is for you. I first found my love for copper in Oliver Bonas and when I popped into their Edinburgh store, I was blown away. I quickly fell in love with their art work as well, as they offer numerous prints and textiles. Their Leading Ladies collection of furniture is just idilic and a gorgeous storage solution for those wanting something a little different. For more iconic decor, Barker and Stonehouse is another shop that screams quality, individuality and spark. Their show rooms are impeccable and give you real inspiration for your own home space.

When it comes to bedding, curtains and textiles, Dunelm is the place to shop. This is literally my go to place for bed linen, blinds and pillows. Finally to kit out your home with those decor essentials, stores such as Habitat UK , Nest, Harrods, Liberty, and Selfridges. A shop I have recently discovered is Made In Design. This has some gorgeous ornamental and furniture staples (a little on the pricey side) but some bargains if you shop well!

To get some inspiration, head over to the one and only Pinterest. There is literally no better place. If you like my style, I have so much home inspiration over on my Pinterest page.
