No. 265 | 5 Books I’ve Been Loving.

When it comes to reading, I am far from a book worm and my idea of reading is blog posts and online articles, but there is something about a good hard back, paper book that really appeals to me, keep reading and discover my 5 current favourites…

This is the perfect time to get stuck into a good book, the weather is getting colder and it’s the season for snuggles on the sofa with book and cup of tea at hand. Recently I have really got my head stuck into a few books. Because I read a huge amount of blogs, which you could say are non-fiction in reality, non-fiction books really appeal to me with lifestyle and day to day themes.

Alexa Chung – It
This book must have appeared on every beauty bloggers Instagram, Blog and Twitter since last year and for good reason. Yeah this is a little bit of a female orientated book but never the less, full of life long inspiration about fashion, relationships, taking the ultimate selfie and all round life advice. With a clever and witty humour in her writing style, Alexa has taken her experience writing for Vouge and pushed all her creativity into this amazing book.

#GirlBoss – Sophia Amoruso
This is a new edition to my book shelf, again, another female orientated (girly) book, but as always it’s the message you take from the book rather than the pink cover and feminine title. I could say don’t judge a book by it’s cover but that would be faaaaaaaaar too cliché. SO……

Andrew Macarthy – 500 Social Media Marketing Tips
This book was actually a present from my mum for my birthday. GO MUM. Well at first I looked at this book and thought hmm… but then once I started turning page after page it became obvious I had sooooo much to learn in the world of social media. If you are someone who likes to advertise their blog through social media, or someone who is obsessed with Twitter, Facebook and Instagram in general, this book is for you. Whether you are interested in beauty, music, gardening or anything at all, there is relevance to every discipline throughout this book.

Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear – Elizabeth Gilbert
I saw this book on someones Instagram page and the cover immediately got my attention. Big Magic is all about reaching your dream in the creative industry. Elizabeth tells her stories of her own and of others to enhance your ambition to get where you want to be. I love the way this book is written and how you feel like you become a part of her world when reading it. If your struggling with challenges in your work life or you just need that little bit of an inspiration boost, this book is the one for you!

Aliza Licht – Leave Your Mark
Finally and last but not least, the new new newest edition to my book shelf. I saw this book on the suggested scroll bar on Amazon, and after seeing it’s 5 star rating, I had to take a deeper look, and to be honest this book I really did judge it by it’s cover. But never the less, it was a good book to judge because inside is just as good. This book literally step by step guides you in what to do and how to do it best, from PR to social media engagement it covers everything to get yourself out there in the world. Not only does this completely walk you into the world of social media, Aliza uses her experience and knowledge to motivate you with a written kick up the ass. This book is so inspirational and you really do feel positive about your future. From writing your CV to starting your career, you are covered with this book.
