I love a good payday haul. There’s nothing better than going shopping with a healthy bank balance for a few monthly treats. So before I start my July mini haul, sit tight – grab a cuppa – and lets go…
I actually went to Newcastle for my little July haul this month, and headed to the Metro Centre in Gateshead. They have a hugeeeeeeee amount of shops, cafes and restaurants – meaning you can literally spend the day there and not run out of places to go and see. I first popped into L’Occitane and picked up the Almond Shower Oil £18. Now this is a product I’ve used before but only a sample a long time ago, so I thought why not buy a full size bottle. The best thing is when you’ve ran out, keep the bottle and they have eco-packs to refill them. On application when the oil is mixed with water, it turns into a light lather and coats your skin making feel soft and rejuvenated. It smells absolutely delicious and lasts all day long, moisturising and protecting your skin. So much love for this golden gem.
Next I popped into Lush and picked up one of their LOVE Soaps £4. If you don’t already know, Lush have launched this campaign for people living in fear of anti-LGBT laws in other countries. They aim to prove that there are millions of people across the world that believe that LGBT is perfectly alright and people should be who they are. So head to your nearest Lush store, pick up a bar and take a selfie. Use the hashtag #gayisok and show this to the world. The bar itself smells of lemongrass which is used to moisturise and makes a great anti-septic! It’s very soft on your skin and leaves you with a subtle glow.
Next up in my haul is my Pineapple Phone Case £12 by SkinnyDip. Now I love pineapple gimmicky things and when I saw this in Topshop I couldn’t help myself. There’s nothing much to say about this other than it looks freakin cool! Costing £12 it’s a little pricy for a phone case in my eyes but what the hell, it’s payday after all.
I also want to include something I bought last week in York in today’s haul. I made a little trip to Jo Malone and picked up the Pomegranate Noir Candle £42. Now I don’t know how I didn’t know about this. I have the pomegranate fragrance already but I wasn’t aware until the other day they did the scent in a candle too! How did this slip under the radar?? It’s a very subtle scent with hints of raspberry and plum, filling your room with sweet and spice. As always with Jo Malone these aren’t your average Yankee Candle and do cost a little bit but they are worth it. They smell amazing, their burning time is much longer than your average candle and they look damn sexy on your shelves.
And that comes to the end of my payday mini haul. Have you seen anything you want from these picks? And what have you treat yourself to this month? Let me know!
