Call it Super Skincare. Throw your meditation, yoga and pillow sprays in the bin because this is the one product you need for stress-free skin… all in one bottle.
The Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer Stress-Minimising Daily Hydrator (and breath), is by far one of the longest products (and names) I’ve tested before writing a review. I really wanted to see with this one if it actually does do what it says on the label. Stress minimising is a big statement because stress can come in different forms and different amounts with each person especially effecting your skin in many ways. My skin really reacts to stressful times and I tend to really break out. I decided to also completely cut down my skincare routine when testing this product out leaving it to the bear minimum so I can see what effects it has. So lets get started…
So… initial thoughts on the product? I really like the packaging. It has that pharmaceutical look to it like the rest of the Kiehls range, and has a really nice pump applicator. It doesn’t cover your hand in product and allows you get get those pea size amounts people always recommend with moisturisers. I tend to use three pumps of this product that gives enough moisturiser to cover my entire face evenly.
What is the product? Its’s basically a hyped up moisturiser that keeps your skin ‘stress resistant’, fresh and hydrated. It doesn’t have any fragrance or awful smell, and the texture is very creamy and soft. It doesn’t feel sticky and sinks straight into the skin.
On application, it really does give you that ‘alive’ feeling and instantly hydrates, but I’ve noticed over time, I’m using less of the product because less product is required. It has completely transformed my skin keeping it a lot more hydrated, longer. I also feel it has reduced the redness in my cheeks and evened my skin-tone. This could be down to the change in weather but it’s a noticeable difference since I’ve used this little bottle of goodness, so who knows?
This is the perfect product for people who break out in stressful times, suffer from dryness or have red areas around their face. I highly recommend it and I must say it has got itself a secure place in my skincare routine. Costing £29.50, it’s a little more expensive than your average moisturiser but is well worth the investment. If you’re looking for something that will give you a dramatic change, this is the one for you.
