I am so ready for the Spring this year, I can’t wait for the weather to become warmer and the trees to become greener. Talking about greener my room is getting a lot more green in both colour and the environment…

Now I will be the first to admit I’m not as good at recycling things as I should be, but for the beauty/grooming enthusiast, I have the perfect solution! I love flowers, plants and greenery… however maintaining and looking after plants isn’t my best trait. I am the worst for making sure they are kept watered so I bought some cacti to suit my bad habits.

Cacti are perfect for people like myself with busy lifestyles and lack of gardening skills (this is my excuse anyway) and best of all they look great! They come in so many different shapes, colours, sizes and most importantly, only need to be watered once ever 10 days or more. Perfect! But I thought I’d do something a little different instead of your every day plant pot. Usually with my LUSH pots I save them up once they’ve ran out, hand them into the store and receive my free fresh face mask, but with 5 of my recent empties, I decided to place my little cacti/cactuses in them… and don’t they look adorable. They look perfect again my white walls and really stand out giving a feature to my room. It’s such an easy way to reuse and make the most out of your money. You can buy cactuses from most gardening centres and you can pick up some really funky looking ones too.

If you’re thinking of recyceling your LUSH posts this way! Please tag me in your photos so I can see what you’ve done. Do you have any other ways you can recycle LUSH pots?
