It’s Sunday! The day of rest. Well, theres no rest for the wicked, but us wicked do need to have a few hours aside on a Sunday to just take a break from the week and relax. Todays post is exactly that, how I spend a few hours to myself, just taking a break from everything thats going on.
So so so many people have their own Sunday routine, I don’t even know what you call it, Sunday routine, Sunday pamper, Sunday spa.. whatever, but all I can say is most involve a nice hot bath and a glass of wine (orange juice for you guys under 18). Anyway enough of the blabber, here’s the bits and bobs I like to do on a Sunday night. Wow I’ve said Sunday 7 times already.
First I like to run a nice hot bath, throughout the week I’m not a bath person at all and usually don’t have time for one, its a quick in and out shower on a morning and evening but today its a nice steaming bath, and to make it extra special I’ve scrupled up my Lush Bubble Bar. This ones the Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds one. While thats dissolving away, I light my French Farmhouse Candle from Matalan in the scent Caramel Vanilla. This smells amazing and its so subtle yet it leaves the room smelling delicious. I’ve tried to look for a link to this but I can’t find it anyone, I guess it was one of those hit and miss products but if you see it anywhere let me know!
Next I cleanse my face with my all time favourite cleanser, the Aesop Fabulous Face Cleanser and follow that with a FACEMASK! (please ignore the emphasis but this is my favourite part) The one I’m using today is The Body Shop Tea Tree Mask. This has an amazing texture and leaves a cooling sensation on your face. Leave this on for around 10-15 minutes as you dip into the bath. I then wash exfoliate my body, wash it and butter it up with the new Wild Argan Oil Range. This is a new favourite of mine after going down to the bloggers event. You can see the review of the day here. While I’m in the bath I’ll grab my iPad and check out Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, BlogLovin… you know the drill.
I then step out of the bath, dry myself off, and apply my holy grail facial oil, Keihls Midnight Recovery Concentrate. When I first started my blog this was one of the first products I reviewed and I still use it every day up until this day. I’m currently in my second bottle of it and it lasts so so long. I’ll then follow this with the rest of my evening routine and tuck myself in bed. I tend to try and have an early night on a Sunday so I feel ready and fresh the next day on the dreaded Monday morning. And thats about it! Hope you found this post interesting and its given you a few ideas for some of your pamper evening products.
